Space is changing fast!
From commercial space stations to lunar cargo tugs to asteroid mining missions, the projects getting funded today demand not just great engineering, but disciplined, adaptive management to deliver on time, on orbit, and with ROI.
I’ve spent my career leading systems engineering and project management across NASA, DoD, and commercial programs, integrating flight hardware and software for missions from LEO to cislunar space. I’ve seen the methods that keep billion-dollar spacecraft on track.
And I’ve also seen where those methods break down under the pressure of shifting requirements, tight schedules, and constrained budgets. Commercial demands place another straw on that camel’s back: ROI.
Beyond space, I’ve managed industrial projects where commercial realities dictated budgets and schedules, and I’ve guided deep-tech startup efforts, including serving on Shark Tank-style investment panels. On those panels, we scrutinized deep-tech ventures to see whether they could survive the dreaded “Valley of Death.”
This blog blends entrepreneurial, industrial, and commercial insights to create practical, lean approaches for developing complex space systems that deliver ROI, whether for LEO, cislunar, lunar surface, asteroid, or Mars missions.
Our audience for this blog includes space industry Project Managers, Systems Engineers, technical directors, and others interested in the New Space Economy.
If you work in, or follow, spacecraft development and operations, I invite you to follow along and join the discussion. The challenges are complex, but they’re exactly the kind we love solving.
